Four Peaks Oktoberfest is one of the biggest annual events at Tempe Town Lake. With tons of German-inspired beer gardens, polka performances, live music, incredible German food, and activities for the little ones, it is a celebration that everyone can enjoy!
It is also the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the entirety of Arizona. This year’s Tempe Town Lake Oktoberfest will be taking place on Friday, October 11th, and will be running through Sunday, October 13th. It will run Friday and Saturday from 5PM-12AM and Sunday from 10AM-8PM.
Oktoberfest will have some pretty cool activities going on this year, including the weekend soccer tournament, where two hundred teams will compete for the Oktoberfest championship. It will definitely be getting rowdy!
The Adult Carnival will also be back this year with the longtime carnival vendor for Oktoberfest: Brown’s Amusements. Here you can ride the rides until you puke and try your hand at a variety of carnival games, including bucket toss, roller derby, giant Jenga, and much, much more!
There will also be a kids carnival for all ages! It’s the perfect place to bring your little ones for some afternoon fun or let your older ones run free while you enjoy a few drinks with the crew.
Food and Alcohol
While Brown’s Amusements will be bringing their hoard of carnival treats to the festival, such as corn dogs, turkey legs, roasted corn, curly fries, funnel cakes, and more, this festival is really about the German food.
There will be three bratwurst service tents that will be serving up delicious sausages, German potato salad, hot pretzels, and more. If you’re not a fan of either of these, don’t worry. Island Noodles will be providing guests with Soba and noodles!.
In terms of alcohol, you can expect their to be tons of Four Peaks beers to try. There will also be tons of German beer varieties to sample as well. If you’re not a fan of beer, don’t worry. They will have a large wine list as well for those who just want to go for the experience!
Once you’ve ridden the rides and thrown a few beers back, it’ll be time to dance. There will be a variety of traditional Bavarian acts performing polka music all night long. Check out Tony’s Polka Parade, the Bouncing Czechs, and Das Aubachtal Sextett.
2 Tone Lizard Kings will be headlining the night on Friday with Black Bottom Lighters, and Instant Classics will be headlining the night on Saturday alongside Wyves. More entertainment will be released as the date moves closer!
