Memorial Day is a time to honor our country’s brave fallen military. It also the last major holiday before we get into the full swing of summer. Phoenix is offering a whole range of events to enjoy this Memorial Day weekend. From pool parties to remembrance services and everything in between – you’re sure to find something fun to do in the valley of the sun this weekend!
“Flags for Our Fallen” Memorial Day Rally
Started in 2006 by a group of patriotic bikers, this Memorial Day event now draws over 200 motorcyclists. Bikers will be paying tribute to our fallen countrymen and women by flying 500 U.S. flags at the entrance to the National Cemetery. You can even sponsor a flag for a veteran – just register online and donate. You can enjoy this event for the full weekend, with evening barbecues on offer from Friday to Sunday.
The official ceremony will begin on Monday at 7am, with the National Anthem being sung at the National Cemetery,

A world-famous house DJ, Aoki is one of the most sought after artists in the world. Grammy-nominated for his feel-good electronic dance music, Aoki starred in his own documentary film, “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead,” back in 2016. The documentary showed the crazy life of Steve Aoki on the road as a DJ and music producer, and also as a family man at home in Japan. Phoenix Fan Fusion
A popular fiction entertainment and comic book event, Phoenix Fan Fusion was founded in June 2002. Formerly known as the ‘Phoenix Cactus Comicon,’ the convention hosts comic related panels, art contests, and autograph signings for fiction fans of all ages!
Initially only focussing on comic books and the science fiction genre, the convention has now expanded to include a pop culture elements also, such as horror, anime, manga and video games. A four-day event, from Thursday until Sunday, Phoenix Fan Fusion will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix.
