When it comes to entertainment options, Phoenix is never short of options. This September sees some of the world’s biggest pop artists visit the Valley of the Sun, from John Mayer to Mana; there is sure to be something to please even the most discerning music fan.

Here is a list of the five best musical acts hits Phoenix in September.

John Mayer’s 2019 world tour launched in New Zealand in May and he’s now making his way to Phoenix with a gig at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Tuesday, September 10th.

Known for hits such as, “Love on the Weekend,” “Daughters,” “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” and many more, John Mayer’s newest live show will feature music that spans his entire music career.

The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter has won seven Grammy awards and has earned seven #1s on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. In 2018, he released his single “New Light,” while working on his eighth solo album which was certified gold.

For fans of his painful love songs and nostalgia-filled lyrics, his live show will prove to be an opportunity not to be missed.

 

Mana

Latin rock icons MANÁ begin their extensive US tour, called “Rayando El Sol Tour,” in September. Making their way to Phoenix on September 13th, Mana will be performing at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

Named after their acclaimed single, “Rayando El Sol,” their first tour in three years is going to be just as iconic as its namesake. The band recently had to add new tour dates to keep up with the demands of their fans. The tour takes its name from Maná’s 1989 breakout hit song of the same name.

One of Latin music’s most successful rock bands, MANÁ is also one of the highest-grossing Latin acts in the market, and just had to add new tour dates to keep up with the demands of their fans.

Set across three stages, MANÁ promises to delight their fans with new songs, as well as new versions of their older songs. Lead singer Fher Olvera states that the tour was a chance to, “keep enjoying ourselves and our fans. We want to continue bringing songs that talk about hope, peace.”

Zedd in Arizona

Zedd is bringing their Orbit Tour to Phoenix on September 14th at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Russian-German DJ, record producer, singer, and songwriter is known for his electro house music and crowd-pleasing beats.

Zedd achieved mainstream success in 2012 when he released “Clarity” which earned him a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. Since then he has collaborated with singers such as Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Maren Morris.

With electronic house act Jax Jones as the warm-up act, and a stage production that is out of this world, Zedd’s Orbit tour is sure to be a crowd-pleaser of epic proportions.

 

Lewis Capaldi

Scottish crooner Lewis Capaldi is known for his raw and heart-wrenching break-up songs and tear-jerking lyrics. His UK arena tour sold out in just ten minutes and he’s making his way to Phoenix on September 28th.

Capaldi’s debut album, colorfully named Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, is a torrent of emotion and full of musical gold. His hit single “Someone You Loved,” spent seven weeks at the top of the singles chart, and was the breakout hit of this summer.

If you’d like to hear Capaldi’s gravelly vocals live but don’t like big crowds, don’t worry — his tour will feature an ‘escape space’ for fans who have anxiety or are overwhelmed by crowds.

Camila & Sin Bandera in Arizona

The 4 Latidos Tour is coming to the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix on September 28th. Formed in 2005, Camila is from Mexico City, and are known for their Latin Pop songs. Headlining the tour with them is Sin Bandera, a pop and R&B hybrid group who also originate from Mexico.

In total, the two groups perform 37 of their greatest hits, with four of them being performed by both bands together, accompanied by a  crowd-pleasing nine-piece band.
